TRIP DESCRIPTION

A guided hiking trip which starts in Venta del Molinillo in the Sierra Huétor Natural Park. The route is suitable for the whole family. It is a hiking trail with different kind of meadows, forests, an interesting geology, caves and waterfalls.

The trip:
We will start walking from the houses of Venta del Molinillo, a small village of Huétor Santillán in Granada. We will enter the dirt track and we will pass through areas rich in pasture until we will reach the farmstead of the old chapel, which is now abandoned.
The path will lead us to the Manuel del Molinillo fountain. The fountain is located next to the ruins of the cliff farmhouse that got its name from the limestone cliffs behind. The waterfall nearby is hidden. We will cross the river and we will see the Prado Negro waterfall.
We will continue our trail with a slight ascent until we see the Prado Negro farmhouse. After visiting the farmhouse, we will return along the Fardes irrigation channel and we will pass los Potros fountain.

Equipment recommended:
We recommend carrying 1L of water. We can refill our water bottles in the Manuel del Molinillo fountain. The water is very cold and refreshing! Sunglasses, sun cream, protective lip cream and a hat. Due to the weather predictions, it might be necessary to bring a raincoat.

Logistics:
Participants should take fruit or nuts. It is not essential to have a picnic as lunch in the countryside. However, it is possible to eat in the picnic shelter where traditional food is served for a good price.

Price of “custom date”: €90/pp. 2 people minimum. It includes the guided trip, insurance and transportation. Ask for groups and prices

Purchasing Conditions: Excursions must be booked and paid for at least three days in advance. Participants must arrive at the meeting point on time. The group will wait for participants for five minutes, but then leave. In this situation, no money will be reimbursed. All participants should ensure that they know how to get to the meeting point and if you have any questions or doubts, please do not hesitate to contact us.
