Hike through the Sierra Nevada National Park . Outstanding views of the main peaks over 3000 meters. Waterfalls, streams, lagoons and meadows in bloom, simply unforgettable.

  • Day 1

    Thursday. Arrival at Granada airport on the morning flight (arrival before 12:00). From the Granada airport we go to Capileira village in the Alpujarra. After making a stop in the Poqueira Valley and visiting its villages, we go to the Hoya del Portillo where we leave the vehicle. Once there, we directly walk to the Refuge of Poqueira (9 km) located at 2500 m altitude. Overnight in refuge to acclimatize. Dinner

  • Day 2

    Friday. Breakfast. Route to visit the canyon of 7 Lagunas, an idyllic place with high mountain pastures and 9 small lagoons of glacial origin that drain into a waterfall. We return through mountain pastures to where we left the vehicle to move to the town of Güéjar Sierra, where we spend the night in a rural hotel. Dinner and overnight in a rural hotel.

  • Day 3

    Saturday. After breakfast we move to the high mountain to visit the area called Lavaderos de la Reina. Place of stunning beauty with waterfalls, ice tunnels and flower meadows. Return to Güélar Sierra. Overnight

  • Day 4

    Sunday. Ascent to the head of the San Juan River. With the best preserved pastures of Sierra Nevada. This activity is in the morning,so it allows us to go down to Granada and to dedicate the afternoon to the tapas route. Return to Barcelona on the last plane.

  • Foods

    During the walks it is not recommendable to make a great stop to eat, nor eat in large quantities. The walker stays with small doses of energetic food every two hours, like nuts or fresh or small sandwiches.

Start and end of stages
Each day will remember the time of breakfast and start. Respecting the schedule is very important because it is necessary to rest between stage and stage. We will have a few hours of rest before dinner, which, together with the appropriate stretching, will allow us to be in perfect condition for the next day.

Guides and security
All our guides have the proper training to keep the group in total safety. We are in contact with local taxi and emergency telephones for any eventuality. We maintain the cohesion of the groups through walki talki teams. The guides have completed the first aid and first aid courses.

Cancellation and return policy
In case of cancellations, the following discounts will apply:

If you cancel before June 1, except € 50 that will be retained for administrative and management expenses.
If you cancel after June 1, that is 14 days before the trip starts, there will be no refund of the total amount of the trip.
Medical aspects
We ask our travelers to inform us of the existence of a chronic or cardiovascular disease that may interfere with the practice of hiking. For this purpose we will send a file that must be completed. The data falls within our data protection policy and will not be used at all for the knowledge necessary for the development of this activity.

(2) Easy: Great for newcomers to active travel.

  • Surfaces: flat or rolling terrain with some possible steeps

  • Altitude: up to 6,000 ft

(3) Moderate: For outdoor novices and above.

  • Activity: 4-6 hours most days
  • Distances: hike up to 10 miles most days, cycle 20-40 miles most days
  • Surfaces: rolling or mountainous terrain with some steep ascents/descents and uneven trails
  • Elevation change: up to 3,000 ft/day

(4) Vigorous: Recommended for fir travelers with basic skills.
